facial massage for tmj dysfunction

facial massage for tmj
Our jaw muscles are tied to our emotions, they can act as shock absorbers and store a lot of the tension we feel
sometimes unbeknownst to us. When we get angry, stressed, frustrated or are in pain we unconsciously clench our
jaws which can sometimes cause them to spasm.
I created a protocol of a series of services that utilise specific techniques and tools such as acupressure, cranial
sacral, gua sha, fascial manipulation and intra-oral massage to gently release this tension by treating the diaphragm,
abdomen, pecs, arms, neck and scalp and eventually using a 3D roller and special oils on the face.
Benefits included:
-Relieving tension in the jaw, mouth and head
-Relieving and preventing chronic headaches and migraines
-Improving circulation and blood flow to the face
-Reducing inflammation and clearing the lymphatic pathways
-Reducing sinus congestion and puffiness
-Glowing and rejuvenated skin
-Deep relaxation
You could benefit if you experience/experienced any of these symptoms:
-Migraines or chronic headaches
-Are currently using or have used in the past any corrective dental devices such a night guard, braces or Invisalign
-Numbness or tingling in the hands and arms
-Difficulty in taking a deep breath
-Chronic or prolonged coughing
